Third Party Processing

If you want to be able to accept credit cards but do not want to handle these yourself, you can use a third-party online credit card processor.

When your customers purchase a product, they click a link that takes them to the third-party's web site. There, they will submit theircredit card information, which is then processed by the third-party processor.

The benefits of using a third-party processor is that you don't require a merchant account, low set up fees and can be quickly added to any web site.

Third-party processors charge a higher transactional rate than a tarditional merchant account but the biggest downside is known to be the image they present to potential customers as they are taken away from your web site to complete the transaction.

The two major third-party processors that we recommend and can confirm work with the shopping carts we offer are PayPal and PayMate.
