07/07/2003 - Domain Name Prices Lowered
Registering a domain name is an important issue for businesses and it is the first step in establishing any web site. That's why we have lowered our domain name prices to make it even easier for our customers to establish a web presence.

Starting today, registration costs for international domains (.com, .net .org, .info and .biz) have been lowered from $22.00 per year to $11.00 per year. Registration costs of Australian domain names (.com.au .net.au .org.au and .asn.au) have also been reduced from $70.00 per two year licence period to now just $66 per two year licence period.

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and include GST.

The new Hosting Buzz domain name pricing is available for one full period of domain name registration and does not require the purchase of additional services. It is also valid for registrar of record transfers and domain name renewals.

For further information, visit our domain name section.

01/05/2003 - Mass Email Not Permitted
We would like to remind current customers and future Hosting Buzz customers that we will not host web sites that deal with mass email type services.

Too many times we've seen customers push through 20,000+ emails through their web hosting account at once. This causes major chaos on the server and prevents other users from accessing and sending their email.

For further information, visit our acceptable use policy.

08/04/2003 - Cpanel Formmail Disabled
Due to a recently discovered exploit in Cpanel's formmail script, it's been disabled for now on all servers for accounts set up after March 1 until a fix is put out by cpanel. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes some of you, however this exploit affected all sites, including those that did not make use of the formmail script and cannot be left open.

If your site is one that is affected by this please email support@hostingbuzz.com.au asap and we will give you details on how to install an alternative form to mail script.
